Edward Knippers’ new works exploring transcendence

On April 18th, 2005 Edward Knippers’ wife died of cancer. In the years following his loss the artist has been investigating his personal vision of transcendence. He has explored two primary veins of thought; the continuation of his Biblical narratives, and the world of the Circus, which he sees as “our human, tawdry attempt at transcendence and transformation.”
These two veins of investigation form the exhibition, In Flesh and Flight: Edward Knippers’ New Works Exploring Transcendence.
